Before getting the table, my back was so bad I walked stooped over like a 90 year-old man. Immediately upon using the table my back pain started going away and after a week was walking upright again. Herts the top of My feet at first intell I got use to it but works grate for pain managent of my lower back. I recommend watching the DVD first on how to set it up. This will save you a lot of time. I wouldnt waste your money on the anti-gravity boots but i do like them. Very easy to use. I love how my back feels after using. I would recommend this product.

Our family (husband, son (19years) & I all like this machine. All golfers and enjoy the back stretch. Very relaxing once on table, the boots are somewhat difficult getting on and off. The boots don't work so well with shoes on or if you are sweaty.

I am 34 and have been suffering from lowerback pain and stiffness for about 10 years. I finally went to the doctors and was diagnosed with a short leg that inturn had caused scoliosis. When the MRI report returned it showed two bulging disks and one herniated disk. After weighing my options, I decided to try the inversion table for it's decompression value. I like this inversion table a lot, and hanging upside down really helps my back discomfort. However, after hanging upside down for a few minutes, I find it a bit difficult to pull up the ankle release lever (I have moderate to severe scoliosis). Not a deal-breaker, though; plus, there are more expensive models that have an easy-release lever...which I will purchase next time (though that may be awhile with the 5-year warranty).

I was most concerned about the comfort of the boots. The boots that came with it are excellent - I can hang for 15-20 minutes with minimal discomfort. The standard pads that come with it are much better than avg but I would suggest getting the boots. Slightly difficult getting the boots connected to the table (tight fit) but not a bit deal.

My son and I have been using the 550 Sport Table for about three weeks now. My son was diagnosed with a bulging disk in his lower back. He had limited range of motion and could only bend partially over at the waist. He had much back pain and was either considering surgery or spinal decompression therapy at $400 / session. I read the reviews before I bought it. I asked a few ppl that have one. Some swear by, other's do not, but so far so good. The only problem is the gravity boots. One review said it helped alleviate some pain in the ankles when you use just the foot rest and bar. It was the opposite for me. They hurt like hell. When you are hanging upside down they are not tight enough no matter what you do and they are quit painful. Maybe that's just me, but it's my 2 cents. I hope this helps.

I generally spend ten minutes a day (5 in the morning and 5 at night in this machine). Spend the time to set the machine up properly for your body size and WATCH the video for use. Dont over rotate in your first couple times using this machine as I found myself dizzy (yes more than normal) after use. Two weeks later I do have a comfort. Adjustment and patience is key. I recommned the machine. Time will tell the actual benefits.

Setup was easy after reading comments here, watch the video before assembly. I found the gravity boots and CV bar are not needed. I tried them, but the standard ankle bracket is good enough, much easier to use and costs less [...]. The stretching handles work well, but caused me additional injury. I hurt my lower back/rib by pushing to hard. I use the teeter hangup 550 sport mainly for stretching and sit ups. It has been several months and has completely helped my hip pain. Before inversion, my hip pain gave me extreme pain when walking or being still (i.e. sleep). Amazingly, the inversion corrected this ailment within the first week and has not returned. I also have mid back pain, this help moderately, but not as effective as for lower back or hip pain associated with lower back pain.

I use it at least two times a day for about 10 to 20 minutes. Really helps lossen my back. I do full inversion. I mostly stretch out my back, and let it decompress. I was going to start Spinal decompression with a a chiropractor. But the dr that did my MRI, said I had one very minor bulge only. Since the decompression was going to cost over 6k, I decided to research other options.

I had one decompresion session at the chiripractor and it felt great but of course gravity and sitting at my desk all day will always make the compression come back. So I wanted to be able to decompress on my own with out paying 300-400 a session. This machine cost about the same as one session and now I own it.

It works good for me, at stretching and decompression. I am starting to do the work out shown on the video that came with my Teeter Hang Ups. I use it with the gravity boots and it is more comfortable for the full inversion postion.

The basic ankle clamps are nice for getting in and out fast though. It takes me a minute longer to get in with the boots since I have to put them on. Sounds lazy I know, but when I have 30 mins for lunch and want to stretch mid day, a few mins can make the difference. If you are always rushed for time I would recommend the one with the easy ankle release, since the stock one is very short and after stretching it is hard to bend so low.

All in all I think the machine is wonderdful, and is really helpful to my back.

This product was so quick and easy to assemble. We used it the same day we received it and have been receiving great benefits from it. The only thing we have had problems with is that while "hanging" our feet and ankles begin to hurt from the pressure of hanging, even though there are thick pads there. We have not tried the boots yet and think that might possibly help. Other than that, we have been using it every day and really are liking it a lot.

This is the 2nd invasion table since 1985. The first device was equipped with standard foot-clamp mechanism, which was far from relaxing because of pains on ancle after a couple of minutes of hanging. I purchased EP550 for this reason. Hi, I’m a 51-year-old male and for the last 10 years or so I have been experiencing back pain almost daily. Either waking up with an aching lower back or something as simple as coughing while brushing my teeth bent over throwing it out to the point of not being able to walk standing straight up for a week or more. I have sought medical help from my Primary Medical Physician, several Chiropractors, Physical Therapist, so I’ve been snapped, cracked, twisted, stretched &, pumped full of drugs and unfortunately obtaining minimal relief. Approximately 5 years ago I went to a Neurologist for an entire back MRI it was then I was diagnosed with Spinal Degenerative disc disease with lower & upper Herniated disc. Good product but they sold me the 550 "Sport" for $110 more than the standard 550. I received the standard model with a "sport" sticker on the box. Seller blew me off when I contacted them and we're unresponsive to follow-up attempts.
Don't do business with these people -- the Inversion Table works fine; buy it elsewhere.

This table went together in no time. my advice is to have someone with you the first time you use it to make sure you adjust the settings correctly so you can get back up. Once it's set, it's a breeze to get in and out of. I have a buldging L5 and am a fitness instructor. this table has made such a difference! I don't toss and turn in bed and my sciatica has almost disappeared! one thing that wasn't clear was that the anti gravity boots come with it. I ordered a pair separately and now have to pay to return them. Otherwise, we absolutely love it and wish I would've bot it years ago!
