Brand: Teeter Hang Ups
Located in: Fitness & Sports, Fitness Equipment, Stretching & To, Inversion Tables, Inversion Table
This is the table that started it all. The F5000 set the standards that have distinguished Teeter Hang Ups as inversion therapy's safest brand. Most competitors focus on looking the same as Teeter but fall short of meeting the quality of materials and construction that only Teeter Hang Ups can offer. Teeter Hang Ups were rated #1 across all categories of evaluation in an independent review of the seven most widely distributed inversion tables. The F5000 features premium safety features like adjustable roller hinges with cam locks which control the speed of inversion; auto-locking hinges hold the table securely in place during full 90 degree inversion. A de-rattler knob on the table's main shaft reduces shifting assuring a smooth and quiet inversion experience.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

The inversion table is a gimmick that is sold, primarily, to dupes like me who are susceptible to the ridiculous claims that the makers of these machines make. If you are considering buying an inversion table, I suggest you buy, instead, a copy of the old Beatle song, "A Fool and His Money." You will get far more for your money.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

We primarily utilize our INVERSION TABLE to stretch our muscles particularly after heavy work or lifting. We are 55+ but active. Love the safeguards (foot locking mechanism, adjustable table strap) and recommend paying a little extra for one of the higher end models. As in regular exercise, working, etc. you must be in alignment prior to reclining as you receive concise stretching and/or exercise.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

I got this inversion table a couple of years ago for my husband who has back pain. It was fairly easy to assemble and has proven very sturdy. With regular use, his back pain is manageable. He has had fewer lower back spasms and when he does get them, he recovers more quickly. When fully inverted, this table is great for doing ab crunches too. We wish it helped as much with upper back tightness. Otherwise, the only downside is that it's a bit heavy and takes up space even when folded up. But I guess we wouldn't feel as safe with a lighter inversion table. Overall a great product we have recommended to family and friends.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

I use the product nearly every day that I am at home. Not only do I rock back and forth but also hang vertically and do some twisting exercises, followed up by "sit ups" and hamstring exercises.
I am now 80 years old and have had back problems off and on since age 15. The stretching out that Hangups provides feels really, really good.

This device is very well engineered and was easy to set up. I especially like the fact that one can use regular footware to use it and not have to put on clumsy (and painful) boots to use it, unlike the old one it replaced. It is easy to set it up for people of different heights. Nothing is ever perfect, but I have no complaints.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

I use the inversion table when my back needs it. I don't have to tilt completely upside-down or do inverted situps to get spinal decompression benefit. You can easily change the setup to one of three balance points from just tipped and not completely inverted to very stable in the fully inverted position. Getting back up just requires shifting your weight closer to your feet, which shifts the balance point and makes the table rotate smoothly. Generally a few days use makes back trouble go away. Hanging upside-down like a bat is not something you can do for extended periods or when you're suffering from nasal congestion, but it does help when you can. The only down-side to this table is that all your weight is supported by your ankles and feet while inverted. That seems to be common to all inversion tables but does take getting used to.

I can't adjust it or move it alone, but my boyfriend can. It usually stays in one spot anyway, so it's not really a problem. It takes up alot of space, but its wide stance provides a very stable device I'm not afraid to hang from. It does fit perfectly in my apartment storage closet on the balcony, so it's very convenient.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

The product is good for what it was intended to do. However, some additional research should be done to create a better way to attach your ankles to the body. I'm having a hard time getting comfortable, I feel like I could hang upside down a lot longer if the ankles weren't hurting while upside down. But, I haven't tried everything yet. Maybe some thicker socks or something would help.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

I use it as designed - to hang upside down and stretch tight back muscles and loosen the spine. It does just fine and is easy to use. I recommend watching the video as it is way more informative than the literature that comes with it. It is easy to assemble and use although there is some break-in time with the springs and various locking mechanisms. While somewhat awkward, it is easy enough to move it from room to room or up and down stairs.

Service & Delivery comments:

The delivery took some time as the table - the F-5000 - is no longer made. They substituted the replacement table and I find it to be as good or better than any I have used in any gym. The 5000 had a cloth table; this one is a rubber/plastic table with some extra flexibility.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

Product was up and running in 15 minutes with the instructional DVD provided, assembly simple, and effectiveness is exactly as described. At first the only side affects that concerned me was the pain in my ankles, while totally inverted, because I am overweight. After a couple of weeks my ankles grew stronger and I fully invert now. I love it. It has become an essential part of my daily routine. I will share one moment of clarity with you, while working on my lawn mower I heard a loud pop in my back when I was bent over. I instantly lost strength in my legs, and as I hobbled back to the house and strapped myself into the inversion table, and began slowly inverting I heard that pop again, it only took about two days to recover as before it would take up to a week with severe pain and a trip to the chiropractor. Well there’s my little story. I am completely satisfied with my purchase.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

I am very pleased witht he inversion table. I spent thousands of dollars trying to reduce the pain of a herniated disk in my lower back. All the shots, chiropractic care and meds were just a short fix. This table, if used carefully, has kept me out of the doctor's office and given me pain relief for the last six months. I am a firm believer in stretching and exercising the back for good back health. This table helps me keep on track for that. This was an answer to prayer. I have recommended it to many of my friends.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

When I first got my table, I used it every day (nearly). It definitely made my back feel 'younger' in that I didn't have any more aches or pains (like I tended to do). Nowdays, as I become lazy I only really use it when I sense my lower back start to feel 'funny' (you know what I mean if you have lower back problems). It's like a 'quick fix' for it, as the feeling instantly goes away and no pain occurs. This is probably not the recommended use of the table, but it works out in the end.
What I don't really 'like' about the table is the system to secure your feet. It tends to hurt after about 5 min, and after 10 I can't stand it anymore. That being said, that's usually all the time I need to hang inverted for an effect to be felt.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

At 53 I'm still competing in 1 or 2 Triathons a year. I use my Hang Up as a warm up tool, and for my pre-workout stretching. Through the years, I naturally have had injuries. The Hang Up gives me relieve from old nagging neck and back injuries, as well as circulates the blood throughout the entire body.

I recently had my 2nd knee surgery; and within a week I was able to hop on my Hang Up. The control of the device is precise, and you don't have to go vertical, you can control any angle you want.

I tried other inversions, and none compared. Most either wobbled, were made of cheap hardware, or were very difficult to get in and out of.

The Hang Up is quality steel, almost feels like aircraft grade metal. I feel safe and secure when I'm upside down on mine. Of course when the kids come over, the first thing they do is hop on the Hang Up. I feel confident that they will be OK and secured properly. They also change all my settings as they are all different weights etc. However with a simple pull of a knob, I'm right back to mine.

I've had my Hang Up for many years now, and I believe it has helped me maintain my competitive edge. I'll probably have and use this one until it's time to pass it down to my kids. It's a great product.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

I have scoliosis. I thought this may help my back, however it hurts me more after using it than before. My lower back hurts tremendously when I try to get out of it. Laying in it there is no pain and actually feels good - I am not in an extreme angle either. I have not used it since and feel that I have wasted my $$. I think this product is good for most people, but those that have scoliosis, please try it out first if you know someone that has one because it may not work for you.

We use for gentle stretching for neck pain and sciatica. Over time both have improved.

We find comfort in the safety strap, and have it set for 45 degrees. Not sure if we'll ever get to 90 degrees but maybe someday ;-).

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

six years ago I was facing lumbar surgery. They wanted to fuse from four to six vertebra. I ordered the hang ups and let it sit in the box for the entire trial period. I was afraid to use it. The orthopedic surgeon said that the table was ok to use since it was a form of traction. I reluctantly started to use it. When I first started to use it I needed help getting off becuase of back pain. In time, I was able to get on and get off without help. Well, its six years later and I've stopped going to the surgeon. I didn't need the surgery and for the time being I'm just fine. I do yoga, exercise on the big ball and use my hang ups.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

I started with using the inversion table for my back and ended up using it for my abs too. I would not write a recommendation unless I really agreed that this is the right choice to purchase. My height is 5'-6" and I weight around 165 lbs. It is very solid with my weight and never moves. The feet are secured with steel parts with pads. You will need to wear shoes. Especially when upside down completely. I think this is one of the best tables on the market because it is truely a very strong product. My neighbor has one and he paid over $400 for his and it is a joke compared to this one. This is only my opion but I would buy from this company again. THey seem to have a good thing going on.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

I have a extensive history of back problems, and further suffered a automobile wreck this past year which really did a job on me. Now four surgeries later, I needed something to recover my life, or at least to a funtional capacity. My physical therapist recomended the Teeter Inversion Table. I can't say enough! It truely has helped me, and gave me a good deal of relief within days. I seriously could feel my back extending the first time I used it. I could hear internally the sound of movement in my spine. I probably over did it at first, so I dropped back on the angle of incline. I've found for me the 60% position is right for me. I would recommend the Teeter Inversion machine to anyone, especially to those whom have suffered back injuries.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

Overall I really love what this is doing for my back. The unit is strong, sturdy and a great value. The only thing I don't care for is the foot/ankle locking feature. You have to be fairly flexible in order to lock your feet in place since you have to bend over fairly far while keeping your legs and knees straight (ok, maybe that's a good thing, it forces you to stretch!), Also, while they suggest wearing shoes, I find going barefoot or just having on a pair of socks is much more comfortable. Still, after a while, it's hard on my ankle joints. That might be because I'm a bit top heavy though (no, not a big tub of goo, I'm 5'8 165, but I'm broad shouldered).

As a result I get a lot of sore muscles and kinks in my back and body which is where the Hang up is like a miracle cure. I hang upside down and do my Yoga meditation while my body relaxes and unkinks! I use a lot less ibuprofen and am a happier person to be able to continue my busy life style Thank you!

I have a bulging disc in my neck that caused stiffness in my neck and numbness in my right arm. I spent a lot of money on physical therapy, message therapy, chiropractic adjustments and epidural shots. None of which helped. However, after using my inversion table for 1 week the numbness and stiffness were gone! I have been using the inversion table for 10 minutes a day for the past 3 months now. It has been a great investment. The only negative is that the ankle clamps are uncomfortable after about 6 minutes of inversion.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

I found the inversion table to be as represented, well made, sturdy, easy to use, and simple to store. Having had numerous back surgeries, I would recommend, as advised, to check with one's doctor prior to use. I did, yet still had significant pain after the first few uses of the table. I probably got into it alittle faster than I should have. My fault. Anyway, a great machine, I am totally pleased.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

It is advertised to help back pain and it lives up to its claim. It is easy to set up and use. It helps develop abdominal strength and overal flexibility. The cautions about dizziness and naseau should be taken seriously while just getting started with this device.
One important point: the quality of the product is very high. This is not some cheap "knock off" from over seas. If used as directed, it should last for years.

At age 61, I thought that my days of running were behind me. Every jog would bring on sciatic nerve pain in my hip that would last a week or so. I tried the inversion table and am now back running a couple of miles, three times a week. I hang and stretch before and after each work out, and knock on wood, the pain has not returned. This is not BS, nor am I being paid for this endorsement. It works! E. Jones

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

It is a great table and my wife and I both use it. When following directions, it is easy to be balanced while lying on the table, being able to move to the desired position. Since I have a bad back, because the springs are so tight, it is difficult to change the settings for length and to lock in the ankle bar. The tether is down under the table making it hard to change. I am not sure if these things can be changed and still be as safe as it is to use.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

I must say that having an inversion table can bring a lot of benefits to the body. From relieving pressures to stretching the body, this table can help reduce the wear and tear of your joints, bones, and muscles. I have to agree that this product does what it was built for, to revitalize the spine and joints. However, I have to say that this product is somewhat heavy for a weak person, but that's a downside for having a sturdy and strong frame. I recommend this product to even the healthy people because inversion therapy can reduce your body from wear and tear in the long run.

I purchased the table for my husband for Father's Day. He has only used it a couple of times for his lower back pain, and it did provide some temporary relief. I use it more frequently for an intense ab and back workout. I really enjoy the challenge it offers for a different type of ab workout. When the table arrived the nylon was torn around the edges. I have not yet tried to correct this problem with the company, but plan to make that call soon.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

It is great for stretching my back and I like the lock-in setting where I can do situps with it. The only con is that it is a little rough on your ankles because that is all that is holding you up. The actual board is very comfortable and it has a very smooth movement. It is easy to trust this machine, you do not feel like it will drop you or malfunction. I really do love this machine and if you are looking for a good buy for your money this is definitely worth looking into. It folds up rather nicely, but still takes up quite a bit of space, but what can you expect from a big piece of machinery? All in all, I am very happy with it.

I use my inversion table to help my herniated L5 disc decompress. I've had my table a mere 2.5 weeks and already have seen improvment with my lower back pain. I had been getting Epidural injections to mask the discomfort. I have severe spinal stenosis of the L4/5 with numbness in my right leg and constant pain in my right shin. The shin pain has subsided nearly 90% and the numbness has all but gone.
I wish I had known about your product 4 years ago when I was first diagonosed with the stenosis. I could of saved body a lot of money, pain and steroid drugs.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

I suffered for years with compressed back pain. The pain would be brought on after standing on concrete or heavy lifting. There were only two means of relieving it: a Chriopractor and a make shift contraption in the garage to hang on. The Chiropractor was effective but costly. The contraption in the garage was effective but dangerous. Initially I used the Inversion Table regularly in the morning, before bed, and occasionally miday. After two or three months I used it only in the morning and sporatically before bed. After a year or two I use it only as needed. This product works and is well worth the costs.

I have bad disc deterioration on L4 & 5, was also in a car accident. The decompression table at the chiropractor helped, but $115.00 each visit was more than i could handle, so i purchased the Teeter Inversion Table. After all the wonderful reviews i had read online, i figured it just had to work for me also. I started out slow and have finally worked my way up to full inversion. I have had the table about a month and still have not seen/felt any favorable results. I have to admit, i am getting discouraged...

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

I had compressed disc problems for at least fifteen years and could only relieve the pain by hanging from a make shift bar in the garage or with the help of a chiropractor. Both were temporary. The chiro was expensive and the makeshift contraption was dangerous. I bought the Inversion Table and hung from it for several minutes each morning and again before going to bed. Occaisionally, I would also do a mid day hang. I had immediate relief. I also was able to do a good set crunchers. After a couple of months of hanging two times a day I reduced hanging to only in the mornings. I'm certain that it not only relieved the compression but also strengthened my back and abs because I only use it as needed.

The quality in every piece of the F5000 is evident when you begin to assemble the table.
Important details like auto-locking hinges, squeak-free rotation and triple-plated steel can give your inversion experience a level of comfort and security that other brands can't match.
While this isn't the cheapest table around, when you find yourself hanging upside down, you'll be glad you picked a Teeter.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

Works like a champ! I have chronic neck and back pain from years of impact sports, weight lifting and military. I frequently get "cricks" in my neck and shoulders. This takes the crick out, at least for me. I put my wife on it, 60 degree inversion maybe and she felt the difference. I thought that the lengthening of the spine speech in the setup guide was baloney until I actually used the table. It truly does stretch my entire body when I relax. I go fully inverted and the situps are 10 times harder than normal situps. I try to use it at least once a day. Now, I don't have to go to the chiropractor as often.

Service & Delivery comments:

I ordered the table on a Wednesday, no special shipping, and it was on the doorstep on Thursday afternoon! Fastest delivery I have ever had!

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

It's not the easiest to assemble when you're writhing in pain from a herniated disk but under healthier circumstance, a chimp could assemble it. And at 60 lb. it's very sturdy. It's a bit cumbersome at around 6 feet with the legs folded. It could easily slide under the bed but with the swing arms not lockable, it gets kind of unnerving when folding, unfolding or moving around because it teeters like the sign says. Regardless, of it's cons it's easy to use and it helped shorten my recovery time. I told all my friends and they want to borrow it but they have to get their own.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

We do love it! The set up and learning materials were great which allowed us to overcome our initial trepidation quickly. My husband set it up in a half hour.

I use it about every other day, just for a few minutes. It is relaxing. I can hang completely upside down or use the rocking motion as your guide showed.

Neighbors are coming over and using it, too. They are all intrigued and love it.

I am 64 years old. I had chronic back pain for years until my very first use of the Teeter F5000. I couldn't believe that after only 5 minutes of 60 degree inversion my back pain was gone. Now I use it almost every day for 2 to 5 minutes per day. No more pain and no more pain meds. Now I can play golf and do yard work without worries.

This is a very high quality product, very stable and easy to use.

Got it for the lower back pain I had been experiencing for the past year. I have stood on my feet 8 hours a day for 38 years and I am overweight. The chiropractor charged me $50 every time I was placed on his stretching machine. It may be coincidence, but after using the Teeter Hangups every day for one week, I havn't experienced the back pain anymore. Now I know what to do if the pain comes back.......Thanks

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

The first thing I noticed as I assembled my table was the high quality parts used. It looks like expensive exercise equipment found at a gym. It was also easy to assemble. For many people, it may take time to fully invert due to slight ankle discomfort and blood rush to head. I loved it the first time and use it every day. Since I have had it I have had very little back discomfort throughout the day. I have mild scoliosis so back pain was common throughout my day. The only improvement I would want is more padding on the ankles but I can see why that may not be an option due to people under tightening the supports. It may seem strange at first but reversing the affects of gravity's constant assault feels so right. Enough typing, I am going to go hang.

An inversion table was recommended by my chiropractor to allow gravity to stretch the spine and give pain relief. I saw Teeter Hang Ups on the internet and it looked good at a reasonable price. I found the assembling to be a bit difficult but the table is very sturdy. The convenience of having the table in the home and being able to get immediate pain relief is wonderful. I would advise new owners to watch the video and follow the inversion directions carefully until you know exactly what you are doing.

We couldn't get my hip and back to "stay in" so I decided to order this for traction more than anything. I spent about 10 min. on it getting a good stretch, and when I came back up (slowly) I found I could walk without pain and that my back felt better too. I faithfully "Hang 10" (min.) twice a day and have had NO MORE back or hip pain!!! This is the best investment I have ever made for my health! I love it!!!

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

Rib and lower back pain have been significally reduced by a systematic use of the teeter. Ribs were moved back into place after an injury. I could actually feel the placement moving back into a normal and painless setup. It took about two weeks of daily use of the teeter to affect the full change.

I hang three to four times a week. It has corrected sensory changes I had in my hand from a herniated disk in my neck. It is so comfortable I have fallen asleep hanging like a "bat" for up to 30 minutes. It was easy to set up, it is quiet, durable and easy to use. I am 6'5" tall and it would be great if it were a litte longer. I cannot comment on storage as we never take it down. I would highly recommend this model to anyone interested in hanging!

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

My back is so bad i've been disabled for about four years. I've tried everything, absolutely everything. This is the only thing that really delivers. It's amazing how much it has helped me. A ten minute inversion is more effective than an hour of stretching or yoga or PT, massage, acupuncture.... It's a tad hard to assemble if you have a bad back, but that's to be expected. This will change your life if you stick with it.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

Over all I love my inversion table.
Some negative points would be: 1) I wish it folded up and stored better. It doesn't fold flat like it says that it does....unless I am not doing it right.
2) The fabric has stretched out a little and my lower back hits the bar that goes across the back. It can be uncomfortable at times, but I live with it because it does the job as far as inverting safely.

Please note, though, that you should discuss this with your doctor before using it for these purposes.

I have lower back pain constantly. Use is daily and most of the time twice daily. As a registered nurse whose suffered with lower back pain from years of pulling on patients the teeter table gives me instant relief. No drugs are needed, I hang daily and I'm relieved.
I tell my co-workers I need to go hang and they know I've had a hard day and my back hurts.
I just bought another unit for my step-son who is a M.D. at Havard for his birthday. He tried my unit and received immediate pain relief and really enjoyed it.
Will use it forever.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

Doing inverted sit-ups and stretches have all but eliminated my lower back disk problems. I use the machine once a day to keep my back from 'going out.' The inverted sit-ups have strengthened my back and abs considerably. The foot constraints are not very comfortable, and could be improved, but I only need to use this table for about two minutes, so it's not a major problem. One inverted sit-up equals about 8 or 10 on the floor, and, surprisingly, they do not hurt my back at all.

Comments about Teeter Hang Ups Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table:

This inversion table is great for stretching your back and relieving pressure on the spine. It does take up a lot of floor space when it's set up, though, and is not all that easy to store. The literature said it folded up for easy storage, and that it could be stored under a bed. But I have found it is too bulky to put under a bed. When folded in the storage position, it is still about 2 inches too big to fit under my bed. I have yet to find a good place to store it. If you have a larger house and/or a room designated for exercise equipment, storage might not be a problem.

The inversion table went together easily, (I was impressed by the heavy gage of construction) and within the first 3 minutes of use, I could feel my back straighten and rejuvinate. Since the first day it was delivered I've used it in the morning and in the evening, 3 min at a time....well, my back hasn't felt this good in well over a decade. Thank you Teters Hang-up

This piece of equipment has saved my life and my career !! After 22 years so far in Law Enforcement, and being required to wear 20 pounds of gear around my waist for 12 hours a day, my lower back has suffered greatly. I required chiropractic care on a routine basis as a result. I purchased my Teeter Hangup for additional therapy at home. After using it daily for several months, I was able to discontinue my bi-weekly drives to the chiropractor all together. I wouldn't trade it for the world!! It has helped me so much with my lower back problems that I purchased a second one for my locker room at work.
